Chef

Are you an experienced chef passionate about preparing healthy and delicious meals? We have an exciting opportunity for a Chef to join our team at An Teaghlach Uilinn Nursing Home in Galway, Ireland.

The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience working as a chef in a healthcare setting, a strong understanding of nutrition and dietary needs, and a passion for creating tasty and visually appealing dishes. We are looking for someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and can work well under pressure.

As the Chef at our nursing home, you will be responsible for leading the culinary team and overseeing all aspects of meal planning and preparation. This will include working with our dietary team to ensure that all meals are well-balanced and meet the nutritional needs of our residents.

You will also be responsible for maintaining inventory levels, ordering supplies, and adhering to budget constraints.

In addition to these responsibilities, the Chef will also be responsible for the following:

• Creating daily menus that are appealing and varied
• Preparing and cooking meals according to food safety guidelines
• Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
• Managing food costs to stay within budget
• Training and supervising kitchen staff as needed

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Galway, CO. Galway: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Chef: 1 year (preferred)
• HACCP: 1 year (preferred)
